We apologize: spam bots are registering users. We don't know why, since membership isn't really useful for very much. Still, now we must cope with them. As part of the registration process, match the pull-down 'my number' value against the value shown to the right of it. That helps us know that you aren't a spam bot.
We will send a registration confirmation to the email address you provide. You must reply to that email within two days, or your registration will be canceled.
Also note: you don't need to sign up as a member. Nearly everything on the site is yours for free. The only things we require membership for are items that cost us money, or are otherwise difficult to provide.
Privacy statement
We collect and store personal information that helps uniquely identify you. We use that information only for the purpose of providing services you ask for or permit, and then only when you ask us to. We will not use this information unless and until you explicitly ask us to do something that requires it. We never display this information or make it available to anyone except you. We will not give, sell, or rent it for use by others, except as may occasionally be required by law (such as to assist law enforcement). We take your privacy very seriously, and will not abuse the trust you place in us when you make this information available to us.
We will not change this agreement unless and until we may be required to by law. We don't think this will ever happen, but if it does, we will remove from our site all the personal information we may have collected, and users will need to re-register. We do this because we want no one to be surprised by any changes to this agreement.
